Leave a Legacy

Without you, we wouldn’t be able to carry on!

Remembering Animal Action Greece in your will

Thank you for considering leaving a legacy gift to Animal Action Greece. Over the years, around 65% of our income comes from legacies, so your gift is vital to continuing our mission to use the way we care for animals to educate and inspire, encouraging changes in attitudes at every level of Greek society.

A legacy from you could help us continue to:
  • Deliver our unique Equine Outreach Programme, focusing on working horses, donkeys and mules and animals in shelters
  • Deliver our Sterilisation Outreach Projects, for populations of stray cats and dogs in locations where access to veterinary professionals is limited or non-existent, and those held in financially challenged shelters
  • Where possible, we provide support in emergencies and in support of specific cases to rescue and rehome abandoned or neglected animals.

Important Information – How to write a will during lockdown

According to The Law Society, following the outbreak of coronavirus, the number of people in the UK seeking to write new wills has risen by at least 30%. The pandemic has made people consider the importance of having a valid and up to date will.

However, self-isolation and the lockdown make this difficult. So The Law Society and the Ministry of Justice are in discussions about relaxing the requirements for making a valid will.

Many solicitors, regarded as “key workers” by the Ministry of Justice, have come up with solutions so they can continue providing a vital will-writing service while still practising social distancing and minimising person-to-person contact. Please contact your solicitor for advice.

I am struggling with being alone during self-isolation, can I speak to someone for support?

Our staff love to hear from supporters and are available for an informal, confidential chat.  Whether you would like to discuss your will or would just like to hear a friendly voice, please contact us on 020 7357 8500. We are increasingly working remotely, so if we don’t answer straight away, please leave a message and we will get back to you as soon as possible. Alternative, please feel free to ask any questions by email at legacy@animalactiongreece.org
